First MMTweetup

Today was the first Mom Mastermind’s Tweetup. (A tweetup, for those who aren’t familiar, is a meetup of fellow Twitterers and Twitter is a huge social networking microblog.) The tweetup was in Lansing, which is a 2 and 1/2 hour drive for me, but it was so well worth the trip! Not only did I get to meet up with a couple of dear friends who moved down there over the last couple of years, I got to meet other amazing online business women. My oldest daughter, who has been considering starting an online business or work at home business went with me as well.
Kelly McCausey, co-founder of Mom Masterminds, hosted the Mid Michigan tweetup. Others in attendance were Kim Smith, Laurie Ayers, Tishia Lee and Crissy Herron.
As we introduced ourselves, we talked about our online businesses and what questions or concerns we had regarding them. As we went around the table, we were able to give each other advice, ideas and suggestions for our various businesses. Each of us had great ideas and input from our different perspectives and experiences. I think each one of us went away feeling enlightened, motivated and uplifted. My daughter left knowing exactly what she wanted to do as a work at home business!
There are more MMTweetups planned for the near future. You don’t have to be a member of Mom Masterminds to join, but you should subscribe to the blog so you can be updated when and where it will be. Hope to see you at the next Mom Mastermind’s Tweetup!
